By the time you’re having a baby, you’ve been exposed to countless images and stories of birth. The films listed here are made by natural childbirth advocates, with the intention of helping to balance out some of the fearmongering that goes on in our culture. Between the extremes of orgasm and misery, there is a whole world of possibilities. You’ll have to decide for yourself what kind of birth you want to have. Then you’ll do research, prepare yourself, choose caregivers who support your priorities –and cultivate flexibility, satistifed in the knowledge that you’re doing your best for yourself and your baby no matter how labor goes.
